This incident comes just two days after another serious crash in Saskatoon, this time involving impaired driving and teenagers.
On Saturday morning, April 19, 2025, at around 8:30 a.m., Saskatoon Police Services (SPS) was called to a single-vehicle collision on Circle Drive near the College Drive overpass. A black Nissan Sentra, travelling northbound, veered off the road and struck a pole. The driver, a 32-year-old man, and two 14-year-old female passengers sustained serious injuries and were transported to hospital.
Following an investigation, the driver is now facing charges of Impaired Driving Causing Bodily Harm. He is scheduled to appear in Provincial Court on June 30, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. The SPS Collision Analyst Unit continues to investigate the circumstances of the crash.
Police have not indicated any connection between the two incidents but emphasize that both remain active investigations.
As the community processes the aftermath of two major collisions within days of each other, police are reminding motorists of their responsibility to drive sober and remain at the scene in the event of an accident.
More updates will be provided as the investigations progress.
