Saskatoon Teen Injured in Bus Stabbing on 20th Street West

A 14-year-old boy suffered a minor injury after being stabbed during an attempted robbery aboard a city bus over the weekend.

Saskatoon Police were called to the 1900 block of 20th Street West at around 3:20 p.m. on Saturday, April 20, 2025, after the teen reported the assault. According to police, the youth had been riding a Saskatoon Transit bus when he was approached by an unknown male suspect who tried to rob him. During the confrontation, the suspect stabbed the teen before fleeing the bus.

The victim was treated for a minor injury. He was able to give police a description of the suspect, who was accompanied by another male at the time of the attack.

Police say the suspect is believed to be around 16 years old. He was last seen wearing a dark blue sweater and black shorts with a red and white stripe.

Members of the Saskatoon Police Service Serious Assault Unit are continuing to investigate and are appealing to the public for assistance. Anyone with information about the incident or the identity of the suspect is asked to contact police at 306-975-8300 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

No arrests have been made at this time.
