Saskatoon Light & Power to Remove Broadway Bridge Decorations, Transit Impact Expected.

SASKATOON Light & Power (SLP) has announced that all remaining seasonal decorations on the Broadway Bridge will be removed starting tomorrow, Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. The project is expected to take approximately six hours to complete, with moving work zones implemented to minimize disruptions to traffic flow in both directions.

The removal of the festive decorations marks the end of the holiday season and is part of Saskatoon Light & Power’s routine maintenance efforts. However, drivers and transit users are advised to plan ahead, as the work may cause minor delays.

Saskatoon Transit services could be affected, and riders are encouraged to check for real-time updates using third-party apps like Transit and Google Maps Transit on desktop.

Saskatoon Light & Power is reminding drivers to slow down and exercise caution when passing through the work zones. Respecting the safety of workers is a top priority, and motorists are urged to remain vigilant during the project.

As the primary provider of electricity to over 60,000 properties in Saskatoon, SLP is committed to delivering safe, reliable, and environmentally responsible services. The organization also owns and maintains the city’s streetlight system, ensuring well-lit and secure public spaces year-round.
