Missing Saskatoon Teens Found Safe, Police Thank Public for Help

TWO teenagers previously reported missing in Saskatoon have been safely located, according to a statement released by the Saskatoon Police Service.

Sixteen-year-old Joelie Gardipie-Wuttunee and fourteen-year-old Arly Baldhead were the subjects of a missing persons investigation that prompted a public appeal for information earlier this week. Authorities believed the pair may have been travelling in a 2016 grey Ford Escape bearing Saskatchewan licence plate 638 MSQ.

The police confirmed on Friday morning that both teens have been found and are safe.

In a brief statement, the Saskatoon Police Service expressed gratitude to the public and media for their assistance in the search.

“Police wish to thank the public and media for their attention,” the release stated.

The case had garnered attention across Saskatoon, with updated photographs and vehicle information shared widely in hopes of generating tips from the public.

The police have now closed the case, and no further updates are expected.
