Man Hospitalized After Early Morning Stabbing on Avenue P South

A man is recovering in hospital after a violent altercation led to a stabbing in Saskatoon’s Pleasant Hill neighbourhood early Thursday morning.

Police were called to an apartment building in the 400 block of Avenue P South at approximately 2:00 a.m. on April 24, 2025, following reports of an injured person. When officers arrived, they found a man outside the building suffering from multiple stab wounds.

Medavie Health Services West responded quickly and transported the victim to hospital. According to police, his injuries are believed to be serious but not life-threatening.

Initial investigation revealed the stabbing was the result of an altercation that took place inside one of the suites in the apartment complex. Police say that during the confrontation, bear spray was also discharged.

No suspects were located at the scene, and no arrests have been made at this time. The Saskatoon Police Service’s Serious Assault Unit has taken over the investigation and continues to gather evidence.
