SASKATOON families are in for a weekend of festive fun as the Cinco De Mayo Children’s Carnival rolls into town on Saturday, May 3, and Sunday, May 4. The children’s carnival, organized by Sask Laser Vision, will take place at Topzpin, located at 400-1222 Quebec Avenue, and will run both days from 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Admission is said to be free, making the entertaining event an accessible celebration for families of all sizes.
Designed with children in mind, the carnival will feature an exciting lineup of traditional games, colorful prizes, and mouthwatering carnival snacks. The organizers have also announced a wide variety of kid-friendly attractions including Bingo, Balloon Darts, the Clown Bean Bag Toss, Milk Can Tumble, 3 Ball Game, Milk Bottles, Cork Rifles, Ring Toss, Pickleball Toss, and many more surprises in store.

Each game requires just one ticket to play, giving children the chance to test their skills and take home fun prizes. Tickets can be purchased at the event or bought in advance as an add-on, offering Saskatoon families a chance to skip the lines and get right into the action. Pricing is also simple and family-friendly: two tickets for $5, five tickets for $10, or a 12-ticket Family Pack for $20, which the organizers say is the best value.
In addition to games, the carnival will feature a tempting array of food vendors serving up classic carnival favorites. From cotton candy and corndogs to nachos and other traditional treats, there’s something to satisfy everyone’s cravings.
The event is expected to draw large crowds from across Saskatoon. Thanks to its open-door policy—everyone is welcome, and no one needs to worry about paying to get in.

“This is a good idea, creating joyful experiences for families in Saskatoon as springs makes way for summer,” said a dad who will be coming with his three girls. “It sounds like fun, something inclusive, and that’s going to be memorable for families. It’s a great idea.”
With free admission, fun games, tasty food, and prizes waiting to be won, the Cinco De Mayo Children’s Carnival promises to be a highlight of the spring season in Saskatoon.
